Cultivars and characterUnder cloud most of the year with wide day-night swings; the long growing season gives thick leaf, plenty of pectin and a heavy cold-mineral note. The gardens often sit next to orchards, and the tea carries a faint natural pear scent. Picking runs late: spring from the end of May into early June, winter from early October.
