ScaleLugu runs to 2,000 ha; the Songboling area is hill terrace at 200–400 m
Cultivars and characterDongding is mostly Qingxin Oolong at 15–25% oxidation, cloth-rolled into tight curls; the liquor is clear gold, clean in the nose with a finish that stays in the throat. Around Mingjian they grow Qingxin, Jinxuan, Cuiyu and Sijichun, harvested and tended largely by machine — high volume, steady quality, honest prices. A lot of what Taiwan drinks daily comes from here.
